Discernment
For the past 8 years and counting, the father of my children has defamed me in court and in real life.
Friends and family have agreed with him; not because they truly believe the falsities but because they allowed him to groom them as a jury of public opinion. By default, they agreed to sacrifice their discernment skills.
My situation may be different than yours.
However, if your trauma is related to interpersonal relationships, make sure you understand who is discerning and who is not.
The former are the individuals that you can trust; the latter are the ones you can’t.
Being discerning and hanging around with others who are discerning will always be the best route to find and hold on to the truth.
